There seems to be a high addiction to Starbucks amongst CF.
It's used to get kids to come to small groups on Wednesday nights.
It's used to write a book, (Pastor Eric Geiger).
It's used after church, for social gatherings.
It's used as a great invest and invite place.
I truly believe that the Starbucks on 168th Street was opened just for CF.
All of these listed above, are great. But what about the money involved in Starbucks? What if we gave up our Starbucks, chose to make are coffee at home, and gave that money instead to Africa? What would happen? The Starbucks on 168th would go out of business. No, but seriously, I think we should give up some coffee for Africa.
Just a little coffee for the spirit.....

Interesting thought...and perspective.
In our haste to make a point, let's not forget the facts. One clear, obvious fact is that Starbucks invests in Christ Fellowship.
Starbucks donates free coffee and pastries almost every Wednesday night to our High School ministry for small groups. It's a nice touch so students can enjoy something nice after a hectic day. It's very generous of Starbucks to donate so much.
Starbucks also donated all the free coffee used on the High School mission trip this summer. Again, very generous. Starbucks is actually helping us advance the Kingdom.
Pretty cool.
That's cool that Starbucks donates the coffee. I didn't know that. But I wasn't saying that for individuals. I have no problem with the church buying coffee as an outreach tool. I think that's awesome, especially if somebody comes to CF small groups just to drink free coffee and then hears the gospel. I was talking to individuals who drink coffee like 3 billion times a day from Starbucks.
